The Jura Mountains are first and foremost an endless alpine playground! Simply put, the Jura Mountains are the ideal setting for mountain sports!

They are home to an incredibly broad range of terrain, landscapes, and routes for winter sports lovers of all levels: classic or skate cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, biathlon, ski-touring, or even the Grandes Traversées du Jura long distance routes. The choice is yours.

Yet more than sport and outdoor pursuits, the alpine spirit is also a genuine lifestyle that promotes contact with nature and physical well-being. And what better place to get back to life’s simple pleasures than the Jura Mountains, in communion with nature set against landscapes straight out of a Jack London or Nicolas Vanier novel?

Are there any other ways to immerse yourself in Jura’s winter mountain landscape? Of course: alpine skiing, or other snow sports such as snowboarding, telemark skiing, or luging. The three main ski resorts in the Jura Massif are Les Rousses, Métabief, and Monts-Jura, and are home to Franco-Swiss ski resorts at altitudes of 900m to 1680m with well maintained pistes and ski-lifts for an action-packed stay.
