Discover in a completely restored museum the life and dedication of Louis Pasteur,his scientific works,without forgetting his father's tannery.Fare: 3 to 5 euros.From November 1rst to March 31rst : opened only on Saturdays and Sundays.
Opening time : From April 1rst to October 31rst :Monday to Saturday 10 am to 12 am and 2 pm to 6 pm,and Sundays from 2 pm to 6 pm.
From November 2nd to March 31rst: only from Tuesday to Sunday afternoons from 2 pm to 6 pm.
All year long ,welcoming of groups only on reservation at 03 84 72 20 61 or at the Tourist Office at 03 84 72 11 22.
In Dole, alongside the canal of the Tanners, you will find Pasteur’s House of birth, with its intact tannery in the basement. The Pasteur museum occupies 3 adjoining buildings and shows you in 9 rooms the furniture, the familiar objects, the works of art relating to Pasteur. You will discover his drawings and pastels, the subjects and the tools of his work: the fermentation processes , the silkworm’s diseases, the vaccines against anthrax and rabies.
During school year,the " Society of Pasteur's Friends" organizes discovery classes and scientific field trips in Pasteur's workshop-27,rue de la Préfecture ( Phone: 03 84 82 11 24 ).
